Help fund the Self-Advocacy Network and empower people with disability to advocate for themselves, influence decision making, and inspire change in their communities.

“I want people to know that we’re here and we want to be heard. We don’t want to be in the background and for other people to speak for us.”

Chloe is driven by a desire to use her voice to create meaningful change in her community for herself and others. But unfortunately, too many people with disability are struggling to have their voices heard, and it's preventing them from accessing support, employment, housing, and community inclusion.

We need to work on the critical step of building self-advocacy for people with disability, so they can stand up for themselves and have their own voices heard.

From something as simple as choosing what to have for breakfast, right through to speaking with government leaders, people with disability deserve to be part of the decisions that shape their lives. Yet too often—despite the best intentions of family, friends, communities, and policymakers—decisions are made on their behalf rather than with them.

When people with disability are excluded from decision-making, it strips away their sense of control, leading to disconnection from their lives and communities. True wellbeing comes from inclusion, empowerment, and the ability to advocate for oneself.
Helping people with disability develop self-advocacy skills is vitally important in building  their capacity and independence, but it requires resources and programs that are completely unfunded — which is why we need you by our side.

You can help develop the Self-Advocacy Network

By supporting Endeavour Foundation’s Tax Appeal, you will help fund the Self-Advocacy Network—an initiative that trains and empowers people with disability to advocate for themselves, influence decision making, and inspire change in their communities.
Chloe would be interested in taking her advocacy further with the right training. “I think speaking in front of people is hard, I can get nervous. But I’d also like the opportunity to speak to councils or government about improving opportunities and systems for people with disability.”
This is your opportunity to stand with Chloe and the thousands of others who deserve to be the drivers of their own lives.

What your donation does

Provide self-advocacy resources

These resources will be the foundation of our training and education sessions that will help a person with disability understand self-advocacy and how to advocate for themselves.

Train a champion in self-advocacy & peer support

Our training and education sessions, both online and in person, will help train a person with disability in self-advocacy, while also empowering them to share their knowledge with others and foster strong, supportive peer networks.

Develop public speaking opportunities

A Self-Advocate Network champion can receive training in public speaking and persue speaking opportunities with community groups, organisations and Government to influence change for people with disability.

Will you stand with Chloe and
champion her voice?

Give now to develop the leaders of tomorrow.
