Help people with disability unlock new passions and reach life and learning goals.
You can help more people with disability to explore their passions and reach their goals by donating to our Christmas Appeal.
Our goal is to raise $65,000 to supply adaptive, digital learning technology across our learning and lifestyle centres and business solutions sites.
This equipment, including smart boards and virtual reality (VR) headsets, will give people with disability more tailored opportunities to learn essential skills that can help them in all aspects of life, including home, work, and community.
Your compassion and generosity this Christmas will give people with disability an exciting new year filled with more engaging learning opportunities.
Smart technologies like smart boards, virtual reality (VR) headsets, digital tablets, and 3D printers are adaptive and assistive technologies that make learning more accessible for people with disability. This means that these resources can adapt to the user's individual learning needs and support with things like speech, visual learning, repetitive learning, dexterity, and mobility. They can deliver a multitude of dynamic multimedia content that is engaging and easy to interact with.
How does smart technology help?
Meet Nicole
Nicole is proof that, with the right learning environment and resources, a world of possibilities is right around the corner.
With the goal of wanting to improve her speech, Nicole began singing and acting, and discovered a passion for the arts. Now, not only has her confidence grown, she's surprising everyone around her with her achievements, including her parents. "She's done so much more that we could have imagined, and we can't wait to see where she goes next," says Nicole's mum Dianne.
