Help people with disability unlock new passions and reach life and learning goals.

You can help more people with disability to explore their passions and reach their goals by donating to our Christmas Appeal.

Our goal is to raise $65,000 to supply adaptive, digital learning technology across our learning and lifestyle centres and business solutions sites.

This equipment, including smart boards and virtual reality (VR) headsets, will give people with disability more tailored opportunities to learn essential skills that can help them in all aspects of life, including home, work, and community.

Your compassion and generosity this Christmas will give people with disability an exciting new year filled with more engaging learning opportunities.

Smart technologies like smart boards, virtual reality (VR) headsets, digital tablets, and 3D printers are adaptive and assistive technologies that make learning more accessible for people with disability. This means that these resources can adapt to the user's individual learning needs and support with things like speech, visual learning, repetitive learning, dexterity, and mobility. They can deliver a multitude of dynamic multimedia content that is engaging and easy to interact with.

How does smart technology help?

Digital Tablets

Digital tablets are a great way to deliver learning resources in lifestyle centres and worksites. They are great for dexterity and mobility of varying degrees and are a great way to deliver audio visual learning resources.

Digital tablet: $649

Virtual Reality (VR) Headsets

Using VR headsets is a hugely popular way for people with disability to undertake initial training and learning simulations, including barista training, forklift driving, catching public transport, cooking in the kitchen, and many more. It creates the perception of a real environment in which to try new skills, while providing safety, comfort, and control (and fun!).

VR headset: $850

3D PRINTERS

3D printers allow users to learn programming skills (useful in many emerging industries) in a hands-on way. 3D printers are used for manufacturing and product creation across a number of business interest areas including architecture, visual arts, and automotive.

3D Printer: $1,250

Digital Smart Boards

Digital smart boards create a more dynamic way of learning by displaying multimedia content such as videos, webpages, presentations, and images, while also allowing clients to draw or write freehand on the board, or type on it by touching the screen. Clients can also interact with media by highlighting, zooming in or drawing circles and arrows, creating a more tangible, engaging experience.

Digital smart board with stand: $2,660

Meet Nicole

Nicole is proof that, with the right learning environment and resources, a world of possibilities is right around the corner.

With the goal of wanting to improve her speech, Nicole began singing and acting, and discovered a passion for the arts. Now, not only has her confidence grown, she's surprising everyone around her with her achievements, including her parents. "She's done so much more that we could have imagined, and we can't wait to see where she goes next," says Nicole's mum Dianne.
