We’re dreaming of a kind Christmas With every accessible home we build

"In my last home, I had to wear shoes, got hot because of the lack of cooling, heard frequent knocks on my door, and the building’s stairs made it hard to access."

Kaye’s life changed when she moved into a home that was built to cater for her needs.

Since moving into supported independent living, with fewer housemates and more one-on-one support, her independence has grown, as has her happiness. Being in the right home has made Kaye more confident in her daily life; this is the real gift that comes with accessible housing.

When your needs are included at home, you feel more included in daily life. Things that were a struggle before, like doing household chores or even simply moving around (actions and tasks a lot of us take for granted), can now be done with ease.

They become actions of independence, and that’s empowering.

Kaye’s life has changed, but there are thousands more Australians with disability who are dreaming of a home built for their needs this Christmas. And you have the power to make their future merry and bright!

Your donation will help to build more accessible homes and tackle the chronic shortage of suitable housing that effects so many of our fellow Australians.

When you give the gift of home, the real gift that you’re giving is: security, support, freedom, comfort, and joy. So please make a donation today and add Australians with disability to your gift list this year.

This Christmas, make your gift a place to call home.  Please, donate today.
