Since 1951 Endeavour Foundation has stood beside people with intellectual disability, championing their right to be truly seen.
Founded by families who refused to accept a world that overlooked their children, what started as a small school on a Brisbane verandah has grown into one of Australia’s most respected disability support organisations, built on hope, determination, and the belief that everyone deserves to belong.
Today, Endeavour Foundation supports people with intellectual disability across home, work, and community life, creating opportunities to be independent, connected, and recognised for the unique contributions they bring to the world.
Lucas’ journey shows what’s possible when people are truly seen and supported.
From packing rooms at Endeavour Foundation’s Business Solutions sites to his current role in marketing at the Brisbane Support Centre, Lucas has flourished through determination, opportunity, and guidance from his team.
“I love the variety in my work and the positive difference it makes,” he says, reflecting the pride and confidence he’s gained along the way.
With nearly a decade of growth, appearances on TV and radio, and opportunities to speak at AGMs and schools, Lucas isn’t just building a career, he is seen, valued, and thriving, showing that with the right support, people with disability can achieve remarkable things.
