More than 300 guests gathered on Saturday 13 June at Rydges South Bank, Brisbane for Endeavour Foundation’s sold-out 75th Anniversary Dinner Dance, marking not just a milestone, but a shared journey built over generations. From the moment guests arrived, there was a sense that this would be no ordinary celebration. It was a night shaped by connection, reflection, and pure joy.
The evening opened with a moving Acknowledgement of Country by Waveney Yassso, delivered through song. Her voice carried through the room with warmth and reverence, grounding the celebration in respect and unity, and setting a powerful tone for what was to come.
From there, the energy lifted as award-winning performer and MC Naomi Price took to the stage. With her signature blend of humour, charisma and effortless presence, Naomi guided guests through the evening alongside the extraordinary musical talents from The Little Red Allstars 4-piece band. Their performances brought the room to life, weaving together music, storytelling and shared moments that felt both intimate and electric.
As guests settled into the night, reflections on Endeavour Foundation’s 75-year journey reminded everyone why they were there. Elizabeth Jameson AM, Endeavour Foundation’s Board Chair, spoke with warmth and conviction about the progress achieved and the possibilities ahead, highlighting the collective effort that continues to drive a more inclusive future. Andrew Chesterman, Endeavour Foundation CEO, followed with heartfelt thanks to the partners, sponsors and donors whose ongoing support makes that vision possible.
A highlight of the evening came with the premiere of a powerful video showcasing the people, stories and impact at the heart of Endeavour Foundation. It was a moving reminder that behind every milestone are individuals, families and communities whose lives are shaped by opportunity, inclusion and belief in what is possible.
Then came one of the night’s most unforgettable surprises.
The Little Red Choir, a 20-strong ensemble, took to the stage for a stunning performance of Natasha Beddingfield’s hit, “Unwritten.” As their voices filled the room, guests were treated to an unexpected moment of delight — a surprise appearance by our CEO, revealing a hidden singing talent that quickly became one of the evening’s most talked-about highlights. It was joyful, unexpected and perfectly captured the spirit of the night.
And just when guests thought the surprises were over, Andrew Chesterman returned — this time making an entrance on a generously donated e-trike, giving guests a playful glimpse of one of the evening’s coveted auction items.
As the formalities gave way to celebration, the dance floor quickly filled. The Little Red All-Stars delivered a high-energy set featuring songs chosen by guests themselves, creating a soundtrack that felt personal, vibrant and impossible to resist. Laughter echoed, connections deepened, and the dance floor became a reflection of everything Endeavour Foundation stands for — inclusion, community and shared joy.
Around the room, thoughtful touches added to the experience. Guests sparkled at the glitter and glow bar, captured memories in the photo booth, and enjoyed the signature “Cheers to 75 Years” cocktail crafted by the team at Rydges, with a mocktail version equally loved.
Meanwhile, generosity was on full display. Silent auction items, including magnificent artworks, drew enthusiastic bidding, while raffle tickets offered the chance to win a sunset cruise. Each contribution, big or small, played a part in supporting the work that continues beyond this single night.
This celebration would not have been possible without the incredible support of partners and sponsors, including Cotton On Foundation (tote bags), beverage donations from Queensland Beer Co. and Bundaberg Brewed Drinks, Rydges South Bank Brisbane and Yachtshare. Their commitment helped bring this milestone event to life in such a meaningful way.
But beyond the music, the performances and the celebration, what truly defined the evening was the people. Supporters, families, people we support, carers, employees and partners, all coming together to honour a shared history and a collective future.
Seventy-five years is a remarkable milestone. Yet, as the night so beautifully demonstrated, this journey is far from over.
Together, we continue forward—building opportunities, strengthening connections and creating a more inclusive world for all.
Here’s to everything we have achieved, and everything still to come.
