Recently we hosted our first Connections & Conversations event in Melbourne, bringing together more than 60 guests for an evening dedicated to community, collaboration, and shared purpose.

Held at QT Melbourne, the event brought together a diverse and passionate cross‑section of the city, major donors, corporate leaders, commercial partners, and Great Endeavour Rally participants and supporters. Each person’s contribution plays a vital role in supporting people with disability to live their best life.

For 75 years, Endeavour Foundation has supported people with disability to grow, work, and achieve their goals. Today, with more than 6,500 people supported across 295 locations, from Mareeba in Far North Queensland to Melbourne, our impact is made possible through strong partnerships and the belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive.

We were grateful to hear from our CEO, Andrew Chesterman, who reflected on his first four months with Endeavour Foundation and shared his personal connection to intellectual disability. His message echoed a simple but powerful truth: when people with disability are given equitable opportunities, they contribute, flourish, and strengthen the communities around them.

A highlight of the night was welcoming the team from QArt Studio and Gallery, including supported artists Stefan Farina and Henry Deakin. Their talent and pride were on full display.

Henry shared, “It was a great event to be included in… I was very happy to show people my ABC book.”

Stefan added “It was amazing to talk to people about QArt and the work we do and be able to show them our artwork”

Their talent is a wonderful reminder of what becomes possible when access, inclusion and opportunity come together.

We also thank Hampers With Bite for generously donating our lucky door prize, and QT Melbourne for providing the accommodation prize — congratulations to our winners!

As we look ahead, we invite our community to consider what more we can achieve — together. How can we support your goals while creating new opportunities for people with disability? And where might our shared values lead us next?

We look forward to continuing the conversation.
